IMPORTANT FOR US AS HUMAN BEING TO BE KNOWLEDGEABLE

E-commerce is not a new term for us. We know that people can transact through the internet. From B-2-B, B-2-C, or even B-2-G, all these are just showing that how e-commerce has been so successful in the present business world. But i had just come across an interesting topic. Last night, my e-commerce lecturer told us many thing related to the e-commerce.

First of all, does anyone have any idea why McDonald's, KFC, Pizza Hut, Domino Pizza... have so many customers and gain so much support from our local people? May be you won't be noticing this if i don't mention here. Actually, one of the main reason is the layout, design, and color of the outlets. Did you notice that all the businesses that i mention above are using red, yellow, blue...colors in their outlets' design? According to my lecturer, RED color can stimulate humans' appetite. And this is supported by experiments and researches. Wow, it is eye-opening!!!

Then, it comes to "taste" case!!! Actually, have anybody ever think of how people sell fruits and perfume by using the e-commerce system? Just imagine if you are one of the customer who wants to buy fruits online. How are you going to know too what level the fruits in the online market is in? What size is it? How nice it taste? No one can know the exact taste or size of the fruit, right? Then, how do those businessmen do their online business selling fruits? Let me tell you again! In Holland, a country which is famous with its agricultural business, has the solution for this problem. It has some high-technology equipments in helping to set a standard of taste and size for their production. Standardized!!! Another eye-opener...

After listening to my lecturer's explanation(or actually is information), i feel that it is very crucial for us to be well informed in world happenings. VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!

ADD DROP

Just to blog about what i have seen a few days back.
In this add-drop week, i got to see something really shocking, full of consternation.
Imagine a few hundreds (or probably almost a thousand) of students trying to do the add drop.
Regardless of what semester they are in, when they need to do the add drop, they just use a method ~~~ PUSH, PULL, KICK, SCREAM, SCOLD, BEAT...
You may use whatever method get into the computer lab as long as you are capable to.
I don't understand! UUM is a management school.
Why can't we see any management in dealing with this add drop system?
Hundreds of people with a computer lab???
What a mess here???
Management school?
You may want to rename it as "Highly-needed management school"!!!

5/7 post

Yesterday was 4th of July, 2008. I will never forget this day for the rest of my life. I needed to go back into UUM, my present university. Well, a few reasons for this:

1. The actors of TVB Hong Kong Drama ‘Tong Sam Fong Bou’ will be coming to Ipoh for a meet-the-fans session. They will be at Ipoh Parade on 5th and 6th of July. I wish so much to attend this function, but sad to say, I need to be back into UUM just the day before the meet-the-fans session. For this reason, I am STILL feeling sad and disappointed.

2. I know I shouldn’t ask for too much. But I just feel the time that I spent with my daddy is not enough; I hope to spend more time with my daddy. Going back into UUM means I have less time to spend with my family. At that moment, I wish time CAN BE stopped.

3. I was worn out simply because I need to move all those big and heavy boxes of personal things from the Portion B’s pantry to my room, which is in Portion D. Luckily I had Yen Ni to help me to carry those boxes. If I were to carry those boxes all by myself, I bet I won’t be able to write this post now.

4. Plus, I was so ‘lucky’ to have my ‘auntie’s visit’ (hehe, If u have seen the movie casted by Sammi Cheng and Richie Ren, you will surely know which movie that I mean) while I was busy carrying the boxes and unpacking all of it. It is really tiring. Losing blood and energy at the same time…I was totally worn out!!!

Tomorrow will be a new semester for me. A new semester means a new start! Well, as what Wai Yin has told me “Kick off a good start!!” Yeah, hopefully…
